A bike computer, and nothing else.
Big numbers while you ride, every ride kept afterwards. No feed, no kudos, no fee for looking at your own data.
Readable at speed
Speed enormous, max beside it, then the numbers you actually check: distance, time, climb and height. Lock the phone and the ride stays on the Lock Screen.
Every ride, kept
A plain list of what you've ridden, on your phone and in your own iCloud, so a new phone brings it along. Nothing to lose when a service shuts down.
Where you went
Each ride opens to its track, its speed and its climbs, and exports as GPX whenever you want.
Does it work with sensors?
Not directly yet. Heart rate from anything that writes to Apple Health — a watch, a ring, a chest strap through its own app — shows on each ride afterwards. Bluetooth speed, cadence and power are planned.
Does it work with Apple Health?
Yes. Each ride saves as an outdoor cycling workout, with its route, distance, pauses and climb, so Fitness and the apps that read Health count it once.
What about battery on a long ride?
GPS is the cost, and a bike computer can't skip it. Turn off Keep screen awake and the ride keeps recording with the phone locked, with speed and trip time on the Lock Screen.
How does it measure climbing?
With the iPhone's barometer, which follows height changes far more steadily than GPS. GPS only sets how high you are. It asks for Motion & Fitness access the first time you ride.
Does it need an account?
No. Rides stay on your phone and in your own iCloud. Crankset has no servers to send them to.
Can I get my rides out?
Always. GPX export with elevation, no gate, and every ride can go to Apple Health too. They're your rides.
Know when it lands.
Crankset hits the App Store shortly. Leave your address and we'll tell you the day it does — then only when there's something worth saying about it.
